‘Everything, Everywhere all at once’ Review

Everything Everywhere, all at once is absolutely blinding. It’s Whitty, action packed, and heart felt without ever breaking a sweat.

As the film began You could sense a collective groan from the audience, subtitles and I cannot say I disagreed, personally I have a processing delay of about a second so subtitles can be a real downer for me. Long story short, the subtitles were not a problem and having the characters speak in their native language real helps sell their personalities and the issues that may arise from them. This is a film about feeling separate from the world around you, about how you respond to that emotion, it is also a fantastic sci-fi martial arts spectacle. Through gaining multiversal capabilities the protagonists become the centre of a fight that spans every universe, and it is stunning. Fight choreography is smooth and slick and takes advantage of the chance to use anything the imagination can conjure, without cutting every five seconds which has plagued film since the Bourne films entered the scene.

Mulitversal worlds included every single possibility ever, no matter how far-fetched and this film knows it. Hot dog fingers and a universe which sentient stones are a highlight.  Every concept is realised vividly and masterfully which every single shot being gorgeous.

I cannot recommend this film thoroughly enough, I liked it so much that this review is very much even more of a mess that the rest. Please do watch this film when you have a moment.
