‘Mr Harrigan’s Phone’ Review

Mr Harrigan’s phone is a new feature on Netflix based on the short story by Stephen King, as such it takes place in Maine as has an element of ‘spooky’. Mr harrigan is presumably an ex-gangster who forms a bond with main character Craig, Upon Harrigan’s death Craig continues to phone him which yields supernatural results.

It is interesting Jaeden Martell stars in this film considering his central role in another Stephen king adaptation ‘IT’ and ‘IT: chapter 2’, perhaps the young actor has a taste for the genre now?

Given that this film is based off of a short story it is not shocking to find that this plotline and subplots are shallow to say the least, there isn’t much substance to be found here but it is an enjoyable film featuring a little bit of suspense, a little taste of horror and a big helping of Stephen King cliché locations.
