‘The babysitter’ Review

The babysitter is a home invasion horror comedy with a small twist, the babysitter is the bad guy. Cole is stuck at home with his evil babysitter and her evil friends. Cue an hour and half of Cole finding inventive ways of surviving and or killing his attackers.

My biggest surprise of this film is its incredibly low age certificate considering the amount of blood and cursing that appears throughout the feature. This is low key gory with people being stabbed in the head or ending up with no head at all.

I enjoyed watching Cole’s character change from scared and panicked to capable and together, even if the transition time was too short.

The babysitter is a simple film with some interesting home invasion styling and is overall enjoyable, even if the teenage target demographic makes it a little childish at time. I personally have an imagination that runs riot, so having a soft horror film to watch is a bonus for me.
